About the role
This is a contract role for 12 months for a Financial Assistant located in Durban.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Prepare weekly attendance registers and distribute to operations team.
Update Payroll with any changes in learner details and status.
Liaise with Payroll in relation to learner stipend queries.
Point of contact for Journey Administrators in relation to onboarding on learner queries.
Support the Payroll to ensure payroll is processed timeously.
Provide support to the finance team in basic accounting tasks like invoicing and receipting.
Qualifications Required:
Matric with Accounting
Relevant tertiary education in Finance, Accounting or related field would be preferable
2-3 years' experience in a similar position (within the energy industry preferrable.)
Skills Required:
Proficient in Xero and Excel.
Attention to detail: Ensuring transactions are correctly categorized and compliant.
Communication: Written and verbal and the ability to collaborating effectively within the team and with other departments.
Time Management: Meeting deadlines for payroll, reporting, and compliance tasks.
Analytical Thinking: Thinking outside the box to overcome obstacles.
